Campus Ambassador Program

SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition Campus Ambassador Program
Help us stop domestic violence and sexual assault on Campus!
Did you know that college students are not equipped to deal with dating abuse.
* 57% say it’s difficult to identify
* 58% say they don’t know how to help someone who is experiencing it
* 1 in 5 women and 1 in 16 men are sexually assaulted while in college
What You Can Do:
Help raise awareness on your campus.* Become a Campus Ambassador! You will help recruit volunteers, raise awareness on your campus about these issues, act as a student liaison for SHRCC, and be an advocate for a safer culture, community, and campus.
What We Can Provide:
We offer a comprehensive training that includes agency overview, dynamics of domestic and sexual violence, current law, crisis intervention, shelter and hospital procedures, listening skills, resources and referrals. All activities count as volunteer hours you may need.
Think we can do this together? Contact Jamie Hughes for more information at 864-583-9803 or complete the application and return it to jamie.hughes@shrcc.org.
*The SHRCC Campus Ambassador Program is available to current students of these colleges within our service area: USC Upstate, Converse, Spartanburg Methodist College, VCOM, Limestone College, Wofford, Spartanburg Community College, Sherman College of Chiropractic*
SAFE Homes – Rape Crisis Coalition (SHRCC) mission is to use our collective voice to address the impact of domestic and sexual violence by providing quality services to those affected and to create social change through education, training, and activism.
