WE HAVE TICKETS FOR SALE……

Uptown Sertoma Club’s (Silent & Live) Auction for a Cause “The Magic of Giving” will be held this year on November 4, 2016 at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.

Signature Sponsor is JM SMITH Corporation.

All proceeds from the sale of SHRCC auction items will benefit victims and families of domestic violence and sexual assault.

How it works:

From now until October 24th, SHRCC will be collecting items with a value of $50 or more for the silent auctions and items with a value of $250 or more for the live auction.  We’re looking for donations of fine jewelry, vacation rentals, gift certificates, and much more!

In addition to supporting a great cause, donations are tax deductible for the value of the item and donors will be acknowledged in the auction catalog and other promotional materials.  If you would like to help, you can drop off your item at  our Main Office @ 236 Union Street Spartanburg, SC. For more information please e-mail jennifer.oshields@shrcc.org or call us with your questions at 864.583.9803.

If you are unable to donate, but still want to support our organization; then stop by our office and purchase a ticket for $20.00. Tickets purchased from SHRCC go directly to our organization. 

Free parking, live music, food, and a cash bar for beer and wine will be available as you enjoy your shopping experience.

Tickets $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door (adults & children). Doors open at 5:30 p.m.. A 10% buyers premium will be added to all purchases. Raffle prizes will be drawn throughout the evening.

Please join SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition on October 7, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. for a spectacular musical event benefiting our organization titled Maiden & Song! The suggested donation is $10.00, in which all proceeds go to assist victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Spartanburg, Cherokee & Union Counties.

CALLING ALL RUNNERS……CALLING ALL RUNNERS…….

Spartanburg Strut Against Domestic Violence is scheduled for October 10th, 2015 @ 8am. This is a 5K and 10K run or walk to benefit SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition.  Let’s come together as a community, and honor victims and survivors of domestic violence.

We hope that many of you will participate in this run/walk in October. However, if you are unable to do so and still want to help, we are accepting donations. Registration for the 2015 Spartanburg Strut is now open! Access the page by clicking here. Remember that fees are only $15 for the 5K and $20 for the 10K. Welcome to Support Spartanburg County 2015 – The Spartanburg County Foundation’s (SCF) FIRST-ever online giving day to raise awareness and funds for local nonprofit organizations! SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition is participating on May 5th! We hope you will visit support spartanburg county and make a donation to our organization.

SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition uses our collective voice to address the impact of domestic and sexual violence by providing quality services to those affected and to create social change through education, training, and activism. We provide 24 hour crisis counseling, emergency shelter, court and hospital advocacy, individual and group therapy, and education/prevention programs for the community and other service providers.

Support Spartanburg County will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. (EST).  On this day, individuals within our community and around the country will have the opportunity to log on to our giving day website, www.supportspartanburgcounty.org, to make donations to participating local nonprofit organizations.  The exciting and unique part is, all donations made during the online giving day will have the opportunity to be magnified by a bonus pool of funds, making your gift go even further!

Let’s make history together!  
We encourage everyone to donate and support the causes they care most about and build awareness of the good work done by our local nonprofit organizations.  If each individual, business and organization makes an online donation right here during Support Spartanburg County 2015 together, we can change our community!

Georgia Burnett, owner of Bella Dance Studio is having a fundraiser at the opening of her new studio location to benefit SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition. Join SHRCC on May 9th @ 7:00pm at 100 East Main Street,‪#‎R1B‬ Spartanburg, SC 29306 and observe her students perform a choreographed medley of belly dance styles. The admission for this event is $5.00 per person and the performances will begin @ 8:00pm.

This fundraising event coincides with Wold Bellydance Day. The primary objective of Shimmy Mob is to raise donations and awareness. Funds raised via Shimmy Mob will be donated to Abused Women and Children shelters throughout the world.

The secondary objective is to produce a flash mob type event formed by dancers and non dancers with the objective of performing a choreographed medley of belly dance styles. Shimmy Mob performances will occur throughout World Bellydance Day and will serve to promote the dance, participating dance teachers and schools offering free related events happening in the local participating areas.

The event is pre-arranged at officially pre-authorized locations at specific times. The media is involved in this project and there is nothing random about Shimmy Mob.

The “R U Skooled?” fundraiser for SHRCC raised $1,074 this weekend! Thank you Charlene Evans https://twitter.com/chiccybaritone! We appreciate your support and hard work to make this event so memorable.

 

 

Charlene Evans aka “Chiccy Baritone” is hosting an All Woman Poetry Showcase called, “R U Skooled? From a Woman’s Perspective Poetically 2015”  at The Kroc Center (Chapel Theatre) on March 21, 2015. Doors open @ 6:50pm and the show starts prompltly @ 7:00pm. Cost is $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door.

The feature poet is Tank of Tank and the Bangas, from New Orleans, LA. Other poets include: Kimbi the Goddess, Lisa Gilliam aka “Big Sis”, & Desimber Rose.  The night is filled with some of the most amazing, thought-provoking and inspiring female poets from all over the globe!

Charlene Evans has graciously agreed to make SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition the beneficiary of the proceeds of this event. Please go and support your favorite charity and this wonderful event!
