Funding

 

The SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition program of services is supported through a variety of means including the application and receipt of grants, revenue from our thrift store and therapy program, fund raising events, and individual and corporate donations.

We receive grants from a variety of sources, including the following:

  • United Way of the Piedmont
  • Spartanburg County Council
  • The Victims of Crime Act through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety
  • The Violence Against Women Act through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety
  • The State Victim’s Assistance Program through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety
  • The Clemson Compassion Grant
  • The Violence Against Women – Grants to Encourage Arrest Policies Grant in conjunction with the Spartanburg Public Safety Department
  • The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act through the South Carolina Department of Social Services
  • The State Spouse Abuse Legislation Act through the South Carolina Department of Social Services
  • The South Carolina Department of Social Services Food Grant Program
  • The South Carolina Governor’s Office for Economic Opportunity Emergency Shelter Grant Program
  • The Federal Emergency Management Agency
  • The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
  • The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control
