Funding
The SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition program of services is supported through a variety of means including the application and receipt of grants, revenue from our thrift store and therapy program, fund raising events, and individual and corporate donations.
We receive grants from a variety of sources, including the following:
- United Way of the Piedmont
- Spartanburg County Council
- The Victims of Crime Act through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety
- The Violence Against Women Act through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety
- The State Victim’s Assistance Program through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety
- The Clemson Compassion Grant
- The Violence Against Women – Grants to Encourage Arrest Policies Grant in conjunction with the Spartanburg Public Safety Department
- The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act through the South Carolina Department of Social Services
- The State Spouse Abuse Legislation Act through the South Carolina Department of Social Services
- The South Carolina Department of Social Services Food Grant Program
- The South Carolina Governor’s Office for Economic Opportunity Emergency Shelter Grant Program
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency
- The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
- The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control
